Should we keep the penny?

55% say yes

  1. Yes we should keep the penny. If an item was 97/98/99 cents it will be rounded up to a dollar over time those 3%/2%/1% increases can make a difference for those that are living on a fixed income or working poor.

  2. Prices tend to be a penny less, 99c instead of $1, and so on. Perhaps there will be a general lowering of prices to 95c because of the marketing/psychology of pricing. Perhaps it will be a benefit, but if nothing else the penny is a useless coin for me simply because I rarely use cash and when I do the change usually ends up in a jar.
