Bonnie Tough has passed away

Very sad news. She was a fine lawyer and a very decent human being. Canada suffers a great loss with her passing. My sympathy goes to her family and many friends:

"Bonnie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1976, clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada and obtained a Master of Laws from Oxford University. Bonnie practiced law for over 30 years, starting her career at Blake, Cassels & Graydon and ending it at Tough & Podrebarac. Bonnie also taught Insurance Law at Osgoode Hall Law School for several years and was a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada from 2007 to 2011. In September 2010, Bonnie was recognized by her peers for her skill as a lawyer, her professionalism and collegiality when she received the Ontario Bar Association's Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation."
