Newest Judges for Nunavut - both very solid and knowledgeable about Nunavut

Meet Nunavut's new judges. Bonnie Tulloch and Andrew Mahar were sworn in Aug. 10 in a ceremony held at the Nunavut Court of Justice. Each has been working on the bench since March. Nunavut Premier Eva Aariak,  RCMP Chief Supt. Steve McVarnock, and the chief Crown prosecutor for Nunavut, Barry Nordin, attended the event.

"These additional resources will help the court reduce the current backlog of cases — additional sittings of the court have already been added in an effort to speed up the delivery of justice services," senior judge Justice Robert Kilpatrick said.     A couple of major accrediting agencies encompass most of those.
    You will also get the chance to participate in discussions along with
    your fellow students.
