Despite some comments on the blog I am not a big fan of Omar Khadr. I signed on the the Canadian Reserves some time ago and have friends who have been in Afghanistan under fire. In my view the Taliban were a brutal repressive regime that exported terror and oppressed the people, especially the women, of Afghanistan.
That said, Omar Khadr is a Canadian and the fault, if any (the facts remain to be proven), rests not so much with him as with his family. No 15 year old should be sent, under arms, anywhere.
Regardless, the infamous video is now on the web and the link is below -- take a look and decide for yourself.

Sorry, but I think the CSIS guy is a bullshitter as usual as these guys are. Khadre is right when he says CSIS guy does not care. Why not send someone from media and human rights organization to interview him.
As far as he being soldier what a 15 years knows. He will do whatever his enviroment dictates.
Are Afghanis and Afghani women better now. Baloney. Please look at these pictures.

I hate wars and especially atrocious wars. Afghanis did not ivade US or any other country. If Sikhs in Canada brought down a plane and killed hundred of people does that mean Canada should be invaded and its leaders put on trial.
Ledaro,
Good point about the Air India bombing; although in fairness Canada hardly gave shelter we did fail, quite astoundingly, in prosecuting the wrongdoers.

If Omar Khadr had trained and planned to kill emergency personal attending a terrorist attack in Vancouver, that he built the bombs for, he would absolutely, 100% without a doubt, be tried as an adult, in Canada.
He is responsible for his actions, knew exactly what he was doing and needs to stand trial.
The Americans or the Afghans have every right to try him. If he's acquitted, he should be held indefinately as in international terrorist under anti-terrorism legislation.
Sorry, he is responsible for his actions. Canada does not demand the return of Candians on trial for murder in the US, nor after they are convicted. There are several Canadians in US super max prisons for murder. These facilities violate 21 UN human rights conditions.
There is no reason to demand anything for Khadr other than consular access.
Imagine if the Canadian government demands his release and then he goes on to commit another 9/11 like attack that kills thousands??
This is entirely possible and NO Canadian government should open the Canadian tax payer to the liability of being respnsible for this man's actions for the rest of his life. No way!
We don't ask for other murderers or accused murderers to be sent to Canada from the US.
People need to shake their heads around. There is no reason for him to be released.
I hope he rots. Just look at the family and what they told the CBC. They are terrorists with a clear agenda and do not hide it. It is clear what they believe and they will kill people like you and I by the thousands. I thought these agents were treating him with kid gloves.
I see the Bush and Harper fans have come out of the woodworks.
Khadre has been accused of all these crimes and none has been proven. I suppose you will ask for Habeas corpus for yourself but not for others. Yes that is Bush and Harper philosophy.
Anyone made to confess under torture does not prove anything. Ask those who suffered such torture including John McCain and recently Columbian hostages.
Let me add that CSIS is the same organization who provided false information about Arar and sent him packing to torture chambers in Syria.
Now, why it has not been made accountable? Why these morons responsible have not been put in jail - double standards again, eh!
just send him back where he came from!
Anon 12:12 -- does that mean Canada?
James, I do not think anon means Canada.
A typical bigot will say such a thing. May be all immigrants should be put on a boat and sent back where they came from. Unfortunately for anon it will include him/her too because this land belongs to natives and rest of us all are immigrants.
