I was in a marked and signaled crossing.
I was crossing on my signal.
But three quarters of the way across a car went through the crossing missing my by perhaps a yard. The driver, an elderly man, came to an abrupt halt, yelled at me (!) and drove off.
Ignoring the legalities (I had a walk signal, he went through a red etc) I though how a slight change there would have led to a big change (an end?) to me.
Life turns on a dime -- don't wait to live.

"don't wait to live" is an excellent motto that we should all heed. It's very easy to get wrapped up in doing stuff, rather than living, or enjoying, life.
I, for one, am very glad that the drive did stop (albeit quite late) and that you are still here to blog for us :)
