I do not often praise Stephen Harper but good for him visiting the Chabad House in Mumbai. It symbolizes Canada's support of religious freedom worldwide.
He visits as the Prime Minister of Canada and that says a lot.

Run for cover, Morton. You're about to be pulverized....
Why all anonymous? Look, I don't know what's in Stephen Harper's soul but his actions here are worthy of the Prime Minister of Canada. I would hope, and I assume, he would visit another terrorist site regardless of who was murdered. The symbol of a leader of a major Western nation standing together with the survivors who continue on with their faith is a powerful one. Conservative, Liberal, NDP or Bloc is not really relevant -- freedom of religion and support for victims of terror is not (and shoould not be) a wedge issue.
Projecting your view of ethnic and religious groups as voting blocs on to the CPC is sad, really. Despite the fact that Canadian Jews tend vote to left of the spectrum standing up for their rights is always the right thing to do. Unlike certain Liberals, Tom Wappel for example, decent people don't put a political test on everything. Supporting Jews in the face of two thousand years of persecution and genocide isn't about votes.

Yes, he should be doing this- For both the right reasons, and because it makes him look prime ministerial to the 2 or 3 non-partisans back home.
Also, is it just me or does that picture have a crazy Reservoir Dogs (Judeo-Indian Albertan mix) vibe?
I like your blog, James.
Cheers.
