Girl, 3, found in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside

In the photograph (from CBC) she looks well dressed and well fed -- it is a strange story but one can only hope it will have a good ending -- hard to imagine how she could have been "lost" without some wrongdoing somewhere.

Vancouver police are looking for the parents of a three-year-old girl who was found wandering alone in the city's troubled Downtown Eastside on Thursday night.

The 2½-foot-tall Asian girl was found in the Chinatown section of the neighbourhood dressed in a brown and pink down jacket covered in flowers and carrying a blonde doll, around 8:30 p.m.

What is the law re the media posting pictures of children online? This little girl was reunited with her mother early Friday morning, but some national media outlets posted her picture much later than that. Shouldn't her privacy be protected at such a young age?
