Downtown Toronto schools are being forced to cancel year-end field trips, reschedule proms and postpone exams thanks to the heavy security measures and disruptions expected when G20 leaders arrive in two weeks.
“There may be some sad faces unfortunately, but we would rather have a few sad faces than a student injured,” said Chris Broadbent, the Toronto District School Board’s manager of occupational health and safety.
“Downtown is just not going to be a good place — a safe place — to be.”

Mr. Morton You Have looks like you have won a free trip to Calgary! Hotel, meals and entertainment too... What is your favorite Calgary Hotel?
Yeah, you and few others out there are going to be star witnesses that are going lay some some riveting facts from the Witness Box.
Cheers...

Oh well. Toronto and surrounding area gets a ton of money spent on it and all they have to do is put up with some fences and bus schedule disruptions for a few days. I'm sure Winnipeg would have hosted this thing with a lot less griping. They would have been proud and happy to do it.
Toronto babies. Actually, the security measures are much lighter than they were for Vancouver. Downtown was safer when the Olympics were on. Get over it and take public transit!
