Rossi says build a bridge to Toronto Island Airport

Toronto mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi came out firmly in support of a fixed link to the Island Airport at Canadian Italian & Business Professional Association all-candidates debate this evening, saying he supports a pedestrian tunnel or bridge proposals that would link the city to the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (Island Airport).

"Like my Toronto Tunnel proposal yesterday, I believe a bridge or tunnel to the Island airport would create jobs and economic growth in the city," said Rossi. "The Island airport is a huge asset to the people of Toronto and a Rossi City Hall will support its success, not hinder it."

Rossi said the years of complacency at City Hall are coming to an end as the October 25th election approaches. "I am a pro-business, pro-Toronto candidate who will get our city moving again. Whether it's a bridge or a tunnel, it's time for the Island airport and the city to take flight together."

Okay, finally he's said something that made sense. But sooner or later is was bound to happen. Why is this guy even being treated as a contender. He's either in fifth place or fourth, without any upward mobility. He has absolutely no elected experience. He has no municipal experience. All he has is his ego ... oh, and Kinsella's ego too.
