Happy Easter

  1. The budget day National Post had a story about a lawyer AI. Probably this should be avoided. It has been suggested to me that avoiding diamond computers avoids AI in the next 100 years. But 300 years down the road another pathway would lead to AI. The easiest way to avoid this is not having AI for non-necessary uses. I'm lobbying against high-frequency trading to help enable ethical finance in a way that integrates WMD prevention. I suppose I'll lobby against AI lawyers too. At worst, it is a minor tax on the middle class.
Along the same vein, you can legislate against future WMDs, but enforcement is also required. I think the easiest start is to prevent drones being manufactured by assembly lines. Fibre-optic high-speed bandwidth can be retrofitted to accommodate quantum-encrypted industrial/R+D/academic counter-WMD surveillance. And QC research can easily be diverted to QE.
