Another good reason to finish your degree

This month's Scientific American reports on a major study of death row inmates in the United States.

As is common knowledge many sentenced to death are not executed. The study considered who was and who was not put to death and what factors seemed to link the clemency cases.

Oddly the nature of the crime or the race of the inmate did not seem important. What was important was the inmate's level of education.

The higher the level of education the lower the death rate.

A counter intuitive result to say the least.
