MONTREAL - Montreal's mayor is promising to push for a speedy and public investigation into a riot that broke out following a fatal police shooting.
Gerald Tremblay says the only way to return order to the city's troubled north-end neighbourhood is by being up front about what prompted police to open fire on a group of youngsters on Saturday.

Lawful authority?
Maybe but they sure don't deserve any respect... maybe they should work on that....
There is no trust in the police, because they have not earned it.
Now the investigation will be a farce, Public Security Minister Jacques Dupuis at the helm.... wtf, this is the guy who has not gotten back to the public after 3 officers tried to provoke a riot at Montebello...
So we should shoot the cops? Is that your point?
