Obama failing in the polls (I suspect Hillary would have been doing just fine)(not that I'm complaining -- just pointing out that she would have been a better candidate)

This American Presidential election should be a slam dunk for the Democrats. President Bush has been terrible -- maybe not as bad as some say (that's politics) but generally awful.

The Democrats should be able to win this Presidential election with an empty suit.

Trouble is they aren't running an empty suit. (Or Hillary). They are running star candidate with good public speaking skills but limited experience.

And the polls are looking badly for Obama:

"A new Reuters/Zogby poll gave Mr. McCain a 5-point national lead over Mr. Obama, wiping out the Illinois senator's 7-point advantage in July and giving Mr. McCain his first lead in the Reuters/Zogby poll and one of his few leads in any poll.

Two other polls showed the race tightening, with a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll giving Mr. Obama a 3-point edge, down from 6 points last month, and a CBS/New York Times poll also giving Mr. Obama a 3-point edge, down from 6 points two weeks ago.

Mr. McCain has been gaining on Obama in polls over the last few weeks after repeatedly criticizing the Democrat's experience, opposition to most new offshore oil drilling and credentials as a commander in chief.

He renewed his attacks on Mr. Obama for supporting a 16-month timetable to withdraw combat troops from Iraq, and criticized Mr. Obama's suggestion he had questioned Mr. Obama's patriotism.

"Yesterday Senator Obama got a little testy on this issue. He said I'm questioning his patriotism," Mr. McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam and a staunch advocate of the Iraq war, said in New Mexico. "Let me be very clear. I am not questioning his patriotism. I am questioning his judgment.""

In fairness, Obama may still be ahead depending on the poll reviewed. And the only poll that matter is election day. But it's clear that Obama has a real fight instead of the cakewalk he ought to have had.

And whether Obama has the political experience to fight and win (Hillary did -- not that I'm saying 'told you so') is uncertain.

Bottom line -- don't bet on Obama in the White House next year.

I do not know why he is so close in the polls to McCain, when McCain makes so many blunders about this rich houses. His wife worth over 100 million. It is not the ordinary
scenario for people on masse to favour him.

mccain will win because 1, the americans will want balance, democratic house and senate, republican white house, second wind in america does not get one elected, and third, mccain did not want to talk about his houses, or his worth, he has a past that shows he dislikes that, he could of been more honest about it, he did not say it the right way. And last but not least, u are all fogeting who u are talking about, americans love their soldiers especially those who where prisoners of war, and to disrespect McCain with laughter (CNN)and negative adds, is a backlash, and is slapping the b.o. camp in the face, they are just to stupid to figure it out.
