A monument to the pointer boat, part of the historically important logging industry, near the Pembroke Marina.

The Pointer boat was designed by the great-uncle of a schoolmate of mine. If memory serves, when this monument (?) was unveiled, one of the princes was on hand. I think it was Andrew, but it might have been Edward. They've done a great job of cleaning up the Marina area in Pembroke. There is now a lovely outdoor ampitheatre and a walkway along the Ottawa River. Beautiful!~!
