I had a depressing lunch today with a banker.
I asked, almost as an aside, whether he thought we could avoid a recession.
He looked me in the eye and said, I hope we have a recession. I think we are going into a depression the likes of which we haven't seen since the 1930's.
Well, that called for another martini ... .

I'm certainly no expert in finance, but my feeling is that things will stable after the U.S.Presidential election.Whether it will be Mr.Barack Obama or Mr.John Macain. For the simple reason is that at least investors will know for sure who they will have to deal with in the next 4 years.Well at least this is my opinion. You know Mr.Morton over the years I have notice prediction from economist have never been on target. Example it never was as great that they said that it would be or the doom and gloom that they said it would be. It was always somewhere in the middle. I think the same will happen here. As I said before don't take my word for it I'M no expert on finance I'M just an ordinary Joe on the street.
Good post sir!
