Conservative platform vs reality Part II

My earlier post on Conservative platform vs reality got some strong comments, but none addressed the real disconnect between the Conservative platform and what the Conservatives are doing.

There is such a disconnect -- the Conservatives are not doing what they said they would (they may well be right not to do what they promised but that is a different point). Why is that? And is this causing concern in the Conservative Party?

(And yes, Conservative readers, I know the Liberals have not always done what they promised -- this isn't an attack on the Prime Minister as much as a request for information)

Your comment will invite the typical CON defence "wah wah wah the Liberals did it first!".

Harper will soon be changing the channel with Iggy attck ads.

Tell you what: first you explain to your fellow citizens what was going through your head when you supported the failed plan to install Stephane Dion as PM of a coalition including 12 NDP cabinet members, to say nothing of separatists, during a time of economic crisis. Your plan was so unpopular with voters that every poll showed a 10-15% jump in support of the Conservatives and an imminent 225 seat majority.

So. Explain what was going through your mind at that moment, and I will be happy to answer your questions. An individual who wishes to harm Canada - as you do - should be answering for his actions, not calling out their opponents.

Installing a secret coalition featuring militant unionists and separatists, a coalition that Dion repeatedly denied he would form, so they can hand out billions of taxpayer dough to their corporate and union buddies isn't a different vision for Canada, it is a wrong vision, a bad vision, an evil vision, and you ought to be ashamed of yourself for publicly supporting it.
