Cracks in the Conservative ranks?

Maybe -- this clip for today's Post:

"The ace the Prime Minister always had was that he was the master tactician. But our guy doesn't have the ace anymore," said one self-professed Harper supporter. "Ministers now whisper under their breath that they think we will lose the next election."

On the other hand, Harper has won twice and is no fool. If he chooses to run again I suspect he will put up a good fight -- don't underestimate Harper!

"...don't underestimate Harper!"

I think we have ALL learned that by now. But it's good to hear that there is some dissension among the ranks & that he may no longer have quite the clout he had before among his caucus. They are losing trust in him.

"One self-professed Harper supporter". I expect he's among the 'un-named sources' and 'Tory insider who asked to remain anonomous". How many millions of these have the Liberal bloggers quoted over the last few months?

More BS from the Liberals, unnamed sources, poor attempt at deflecting attention away from your un-elected leader who is proving to be even more inept than Dion.

What a joke.

Anon = Con troll. Useless verbiage.

"Michael Ignatieff hosted a two-day retreat with the Liberal caucus this past week. Thanks to a media leak from a Liberal insider, we have learned that Michael Ignatieff sternly warned Liberals against leaks to the media.

If irony caused global warming, polar bears would be applying suntan lotion right now."

I do not take anything said by an anonymous person about anonymous sources too seriously. Really don't you kind of see aa uncomplimentary irony here?

There have got to be cracks. One does not go through life well wanting his subordinates fear him, control everything, and then only slacken the leash when the time comes that potential blame can be spread around.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that this would not be good for moral. Given the fact that Harper has not been able to build a majority given the weakest opposition with the weakest leader does tell you something.

If I were a party member, I wouldn't be too happy about that performance combined with the post-election brinkmanship.
