It seems that too many of my posts were annoying too many political readers, and that's fine, so from now on I am not on the Libblog system -- I hope somebody reads me!!!

That's too bad Mr. Morton. I've always enjoyed your posts, political and otherwise. Most of us will miss you!! We will miss Flocke too!!!
I think the polar bears and the law posts are what makes this site interesting and different, brings a lot to Liblogs and gives us all a good dose of variety. No one can be pleased all of the time, especially among Liberals. I really hope you change your mind. If every post was political, we'd have a very boring aggregator.
Besides, I think the aggregator is getting re-worked so photos don't show up at Liblogs which will reduce the annoyance factor for those who want everything to be the same around here.
I'm not on liblogs - yet... so I don't know this, but is there a requirement for how many posts must be about partisan politics? I was thinking about joining but my posts are by no stretch all on the same topic!
ps- I look forward to continuing to read you even if not on an aggregator.
I see this comment on an earleir post here today and wonder why people don't realize that they have a choice as to whether or not to read any particular post. __________________ Northern PoV said... between this garbage (really sick of cute bears, btw)
and your ongoing law course you want to give us on-line
- and announcing stuff like Nortel - which the news aggregators do a fine job of so there is simply no need for you to spam up this site
I too sometimes wish that the law and the polar bears might pause for a minute to turn, face the camera, and badmouth Stephen Harper. To each their own though. I still read you.
Just back on the board and saw this giant controversy... I, for one am happy to see James' political blogs and very occasional (like most bloggers here) personal blog. background: https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=4937285970642106606&postID=7024158938707560283
Thankyou for seeing the "valid points". It's the sheer volume, sometimes up to 15 posts a day, 24 hrs. a day, more added when others slide off to keep up the volume, which "bump" off a lot of other good, thought provoking, insightful ones. The page only holds just so many posts at a time.
I'm not adverse to the occasional pic, etc. It is nice to see that & is a "break" from the intensity of some posts at times.
James has cut back, recently, from the volume so I give him kudos for that. I'm not anti-James at all. Just anti-volume. And I'm also glad to see him doing more commentary & not just cut & paste as well.
I don't see why you're changing the content based on what some angry people want. I like the variety. It's your personal blog, it should reflect your interests.
Keep the posts coming as you see fit. If you want to listen to some readers and treat it as constructive criticism instead of critiques, then that is your perogative too. Just know that lots of readers do like the variety (and don't mind polar bears!).

Not stopping the blog! Just taking it off the Libblog system!
That's a damn shame, I preferred your blog over many others on Liblogs.
I personally think you have a balanced and centrist viewpoint.
I assume the shrill screams of "Neo-Con in lib-drag!" from the liblogs uber-left would make anyone cover their ears after awhile.
I'll just bookmark you.
You'll be on my bookmarks as well.
How bizarre.
Well.. that last blogpost (or this one) is still on the Liblogs system.
You're not referring to your polar bear posts, are you?
No problem with your political views, just too many damn Polar Bears!
Between the polar bears and the copy/paste of newspaper articles, I'm not sure what this is bringing to Liblogs

I look forward to continually reading your blogs

Odd.
Was it the gentle ribbing about the bears?
It is a shame that you are leaving Liblogs. (that's been happening a lot lately).
I have you bookmarked so . . . I will be back, again and again.
Have you considered joining Progressive Bloggers

??????
Have you had a look at LiberalsONLINE
It's new.
Who is sick of you? Give me NAMES!!!
I too sometimes wish that the law and the polar bears might pause for a minute to turn, face the camera, and badmouth Stephen Harper. To each their own though. I still read you.
I have benefited from your legal postings on more than one occasion.
And for those who don't like the polar bears, I am sure they are the same people who turn to the inside pages of the Sun!!!
You should ignore such comments and continue to post on Liblogs.
"..Was it the gentle ribbing about the bears?"
Exactly my reaction as that of CWTF.
It's not the "gentle ribbing" -- my ocncern is just not to distract people from other things unnecessarily...
It is not that hard to simply scroll past your posts if people are not interested.
I hope you change your mind and stay.

Northern PoV,
I had not read your previous comments on that post. Thanks for pointing them out.
Valid points.
Sassy,
Thankyou for seeing the "valid points". It's the sheer volume, sometimes up to 15 posts a day, 24 hrs. a day, more added when others slide off to keep up the volume, which "bump" off a lot of other good, thought provoking, insightful ones.

sounds you have a strong reader base, this reader included!! Keep up the great job!!
OK, I'll stay but try to limit the poems etc ...
Thankyou James. :)
I do read a lot of your posts & learn things too, especially with the law ones as I'm rather ignorant in that area.
I don't see why you're changing the content based on what some angry people want. I like the variety. It's your personal blog, it should reflect your interests.
Good choice to stay James.
Keep the posts coming as you see fit. If you want to listen to some readers and treat it as constructive criticism instead of critiques, then that is your perogative too. Just know that lots of readers do like the variety (and don't mind polar bears!).
Cheers.
