Rasputin

The Russian cub staying with Flocke has had a name change. At first he was called Vladi but now he is being called Rasputin.

The name is, at first, troubling because of the association with a dissolute monk but it may not be a bad choice.

Rasputin (Распутин) is not an uncommon (sur)name. The root is not certain but may come from rasputitsa (распутица), "muddy road season", which would certainly make sense for the muddy Russian cub.
