Why civil courts are slow?

I get to court and glance at the list -- I have a new case and I am taking over midway through.

There are 81 defendants.

81!!!!!

There were less defendants at Nuremberg (they had 21).

And this is just an everyday mortgage fraud claim.

No wonder things are slow.
