I have a nice memory of having dinner with a friend at a resturant on the north shore, looking across the water towards that convention centre. It happened to by Canada Day so in addition to the wonderful view, we were treated to the July 1st fireworks over the water.

A few year back, I spent a glorious weekend there with the man I love... thinking about it just makes me sigh. Vancouver is such a wonderful city. I also hope that holding the convention there may raise the profile of the Libs in the west and perhaps lead towards recapturing some BC seats that have been lost.
