Canadian Jewish Congress 29th Plenary Assembly


This Sunday the Canadian Jewish Congress celebrated its 90th anniversary of the CJC.

A striking group of politicians attended to celebrate CJC's 90 years of support for human rights and social justice for people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Stephen Harper attended to accept the Saul Hayes Award.

The keynote speaker was Michael Ignateiff. (Picture on right)

Other speakers included Elizabeth May and Jack Layton.

Israeli speakers included the Israeli ambassador to Canada and the Vice Prime Minister of Israel.

Were you there James? I read that Harper made a partisan dig during his acceptance speech?

I wonder when we will be able to sue Israel....
