Political abuse -- there's room to get worse

Today's papers seem fairly consistent in saying that Ruby Dhalla came out fairly well yesterday -- the whole thing is messy but the consensus seems to be that politics was behind much of the storm.

Certainly there is a significant political component to what's going on here.

That said, compared to historical times, the politics of today is tame. Look back to the early 1800's. It was common enough to accused political opponents of everything up to and including cannibalism. So, until we see Jack Layton accused of eating his enemies (say with fava beans and a nice chianti) we still have ways to go.

Kenney had his picture taken with the Caregivers on April 26th, 3 or 4 times. I agree with your thoughts, as Kenney is trying to get his friend Parm. Gill in that riding next election.

What papers are you reading? She comes of as conniving in The Star, the Sun Chain and The Post. I guess you only read the Globe and Mail.

I'm no Con booster but get real.
