That said, the bullies made a bad mistake beating up an Asian high school kid who happened to have a black belt.
Now the school has suspended both students and has threatened to expel the Korean student from all schools in the school district. I suppose they want to make it clear you must turn the other cheek -- at least if you're Asian.

Suspended? So this kid isn't allowed to defend himself? He shouldn't be suspended, he should be commended.
I can't believe that a Liberal like yourself could condone violence.
This young Asian man could have walked away and did the right thing.
Instead, he took the conservative route and the eye for an eye vengeance style American -style attack.
Nothing Liberal in breaking a kids nose, for the simple reason of being called Chinese.
James, you have the soul of an artist, however did you become a lawyer!!?!
In my world, I know when I've had to pitch my ideas/projects - in film and the arts - at first I found it distasteful. But as the other poster said, it doesn't have to be if you're HONEST, and passionate about why you're there, and share your vision, intention, YOUR DREAMS!
Then James you learn that's the politics is a game, and can be fun, kind of like theatre, and you play your part, and enjoy it!

now while you get over your post convention blues go give Morty a hug, a bear hug :)
Daria, reading you :)
This young Asian man was not merely provoked by racial taunts Anonymous, he was physically attacked. He didn't just haul off and belt some yappy bigot, the other kid punched him in the mouth. Given the recent history of racially motivated assaults referred to in the post and the news stories, I think the kid had every right to defend himself and showed admirable restraint given the circumstances.
What makes you think liberal means pacifist? I don't believe in picking fights with bigots, but when they start throwing punches, I think you are entitled to hit back.
