L. Whalen in Sault Ste Marie who elected to become a supernumerary judge. Mr. Justice O'Connell was a team leader of the Federal Prosecution Service from 1995 to 2001, an on-site counsel for the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit from 2001 to 2009, has assisted as federal wiretap agent on the guns and gangs taskforce and was Deputy Director of the Regional Legal Operations, Public Prosecution Service of Canada from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Justice O'Connell has developed an expertise in Criminal Law.The Honourable Susan E. Healey, a partner at Stewart, Esten in Barrie, Ontario is appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario. She replaces Mr. Justice R.N. Weekes in Barrie who resigned.Madam Justice Healey received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 1988 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1991. Madam Justice Healey has developed an expertise in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Estate Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Family Law, Family Mediation and Estate Mediation.The Honourable Caroline E.. Brown, a sole practitioner in Hamilton, Ontario is appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario.Madam Justice Brown received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 1988 and a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1991.
