Will the others join to bring down the government?

Perhaps not. Too many Bloc members await their pension.

Standard EI rate 'won't fly'

Tories won't bow to opposition's call to change the rules, Finley says

By Juliet O'Neill, Canwest News Service June 6, 2009

Human Resources Minister Diane Finley has indicated there will not be any government compromise on calls for a standardized employment insurance eligibility rule.

Finley said an opposition proposal to extend EI benefits to people who have worked 360 hours (nine weeks), regardless of the unemployment rate in the region where they live, "is not going to fly."

Well, that's a question the Liberals could ask Quebecers - does the BLOC care more about their pensions, themselves, more than they do you?

Canadians need to wake up and realize that they are being ruled by fascists.

By ignoring the law of the land, the Conservatives have proven that they are incapable of being the land's lawmakers. Ipso facto, they have forfeited their right to rule Canada.

By thumbing their noses at recent decisions concerning Canadians lost in Sudan, Guantanamo and other lands that fail to respect the rights of humans, they are saying that they too are incapable of respecting the rights of humans.

Canadians need a new government. We must rid ourselves of the Conservative tyranny before it's too late.

While I think it would be pretty funny to see the Conservative government being propped up by the Bloc, the reality is that the greater danger will be, as it has been, that it will be Liberal votes keeping Harper in office.

Strange that Omar Khadr, the guy in Sudan (6 years) and a number of other similar issues ALL happened under the Liberals.

THEY did not solve the problems and the Conservatives inherited them.

NOW the Liberals want action taken and blast the government of the day?

How very hypocritical.

Anon (5:12pm): And the CONS aren't hypocrites? Give your head a shake!

1) Harper instituted a 31.5% tax hike on Income trusts even when he said he wouldn't do it.
2) Fixed Election Law - No hypocrisy there...LOL
3) Elected Senate - 18 new CON Senators
4) Coalition - Harper signed a letter in Sept 2004 along with Duceppe and Layton to discuss "options" about the Liberal government and then has the nerve to call the "Coalition" formed in December undemocratic?

As for inheriting, it will be the next Liberal government that will inherit a $50+ Billion deficit left by Harper and his Finance Minister.

BTW, how do the CONS plan to get rid of the deficit? Oh, I know, "...until we have to raise taxes" (Harper during QP)

Big W, now you are being a hypocrite.
''it will be the next Liberal government that will inherit a $50+ Billion deficit left by Harper and his Finance Minister''

Why did the coalition form?
To force stimulus spending that Harper did not want to spend, or so they said at the time.
Did the Libs or the Dippers challenge the Govt on the auto bailout?
Canadians are not stupid.

Getting rid of the deficit: already in the works.
-Funny the media hasn't been tallying up all the cuts the Govt has been making, every week.
Last week it was the Canada Day fund.
-No increase to existing programs unless job related ex: office of Kevin Page, funds to teach native languages to immigrants..
-But most of all,
check out the oil prices lately? Doubled in the last short while.
And investors are flocking to our very stable country.
Ontario mfg (steel etc) will fire up again when the rigs get going later this summer or fall.

My bioterror attack in response to Con criminalization policy will be very deficit inducing.

Funny, a whole underclass of military age males have been create who are withheld welfare (4 of the 8 temp agencies I worked for in 2003 submitted to CCRA and Diversified in Cgy committed fraud against my friend), against our Charter rights. I've seen fallen-through-the cracks males later in life in shelters.
Mental health problems alone are an economic argument not to tell me, a potential BIOTERRORIST (to make a valid threat I'd have to uncan a cracking the NSA blueprint too) to go to Labor Ready when I'm casual labour *temperarily* fatigued.

As if your University salaried breathren won't experience the retaliation from one of these underclasses who has been fortunate enough to stay out of prison and suicide. As if rich Canadians don't deserve such Justice. As if (sounds commie to say) a single person making more than around $12 for hundreds of hours has "fallen-through-the-cracks".
