Forty years ago today
The moon landing took place 40 years ago today. I remember the landing clearly. The television was fuzzy and the sound almost inaudible yet somehow it seemed something world changing had happened. Yet after the trip to the moon things seemed pretty much the same. Of course, when Europe encountered America not much changed for the first few years ... .

Off topic James, but there is an article on the CTV website that seems to be complaining that people are asking where Michael Ignatieff is, yet the article offers nothing substantive to say if he is in fact in Canada. This is a problem as it makes it look like he is in fact not here. Can't he at least create some kind of news conference announcing anything or a photo-op to confirm that he is in the country?
He was here in Ottawa last Friday. CTV and/or the curious citizens can follow Iggy on Facebook or Twitter.
Besides, isn't the guy permitted to take a few days out of the country if he wants to, sheesh?
