The South African runner Caster Semenya

Her body is that of a woman. She has lived as a woman. That's enough.

Agreed. Let HER be!

Enough for what? To live her life as she sees fit or to compete against other women who do not have the biological oddities that give her such an advantage? If you mean the first, then absolutely, shes a woman and she should be left alone. If you mean the second, then we disagree. If you want to destroy female sports all you need to do is allow men, self-identifying as women, to enter. Semenya is not a man but she may carry male traits that give her an unfair physical advantage against other women. It is very difficult to define male and female but a line has to be drawn somewhere.

RAT - I took Morton's post as the first and agree with him and MP in Toronto.

IF, if the reports are true and thee has been no denial as yet... then Mr. Musings you're totally wrong.

She does not have the body of a woman; she has the body of a hermaphrodite.

That's quite a different kettle of fish.

She can't run as a woman or a man.

Backseat, if Morton means how she lives then running is irrelevant and she doesn't deserve the ridicule and exposure she is getting in the media. She couldn't know she was a hermaphrodite and as there are no hermaphrodite washrooms she really has to be either a man or a woman. She identifies as a woman, she has the external characteristics of a woman, therefore she is a woman. I feel very bad for her as she obviously worked very hard to achieve what she did. Heck, I have more testosterone than her and I wish I had her musculature!

don't get me wrong mr. rat. Ms Semenya has my complete sympathy. She is in a horrible situation.

In my first comment i was referring entirely to her racing career.
