Mr. Morton, what is your opinion of the report on Corrections Canada? Especially the fact that a 2 billion dollar enterprise spends 3% on the health and welfare of the incarcerated? Many of whom are warehoused with mental illness and substance abuse problems. It's all about 'security'. Which I can't help but liken to the whole Conservative mantra of 'security at ANY cost'. Loss of rights, privacy, etc. Where does this madness end? When the 'B List' is segragated and held so they can't be a problem to the 'A List'? Where is their concern for their fellow humans? This to me is another indication of their true agenda. Thanks. LK
Yes, Mr. Morton, and it almost seems to discourage any kind of successful reintegration with society. What a revolving door. And now taking away the working farms...makes me think it's all very intentional. Too much idle time, very few programs to encourage the betterment of the individual, for the benefit of all. I know this is not a popular file but I do hold hope that the Liberals would handle it differently than the Conservatives. Thanks. LK

LK, I agree it is a scandal and a shame to Canada -- prison is not to be a mere warehouse but sadly it is.
