Barack Obama tells Burma to free Aung San Suu Kyi

Well, sort of. Apparently Obama would not speak directly to the representative of Burma's junta so he asked for her release in a voice loud enough to be heard by the representative. That's truth to power!!! Seriously, how do you negotiate with someone you refuse to address?

Barack Obama, US president, has told Burma's junta to free Aung San Suu Kyi, the pro-democracy leader, during an unusual face-to-face meeting.

Mr Obama delivered the strong message during his summit with leaders of 10 south-east Asian nations, which included Thein Sein, the Burmese prime minister.
