Polar bear life expectancy

Further to a query on an earlier post life expectancy in the wild can be as long as 30 years for females 20 years for males. In captivity, life expectancy can reach 40 years for both sexes.

I only hope see Sawah run Palin doesn't succeed in getting them off the endangered species list just so she can dig for her fricken oil.

Yikes! What have Americans (guess we're not much better) become?

Then Lisa had a relatively normal life expectancy even though she was in captivity. If she hadn't had such serious health issues she may have lived a few short years longer. Thanks for the info, James.
