Ottawa Valley selected as most liveable urban centre/rural area
In a survey released today Kaplan Associates found the Ottawa Valley the most liveable urban centre/rural area in Ontario. I confess to being surprised at the urban classification but it is a lovely area.

lovely, sure you could make a case for that. Urban? decidely not. Having grown up in the largest community in the area (population a staggering 15,000 at its peak), I can assure you that there is very little that is urban about the entire county.
Still, people can make a decent living there and raise their families without much worry about crime; no traffic jams or long commutes and generally be able to get home to your kids at 5pm. There is definitely something to be said for that!
