A letter to the editor in today's Globe:
Canada has had women as prime minister, governor-general, chief justice and senior cabinet ministers (The Hurdle To Leap In The Next Election – editorial, Jan. 11).
Women can climb to the very top of Disraeli’s greasy pole. The question is not can they, but will they?
That requires all parties to restore the traditions of a civil Parliament that sits and focuses on issues rather than personalities.
Therein lies our real challenge.
James Morton, Toronto
