As I took the subway to court I was unhappy to hear the magic words "attention subway passengers, we are experiencing longer the regular ... ".
Is it work to rule? Perhaps. But the trouble is trouble on the TTC is so normal you might not notice a work slowdown.
Is it all the employees' fault? No -- in fact, my experience with TTC employees has been pretty good. And in the last contract negotiation they were trying to protect vested rights -- which they pretty well kept. The fault in the dispute was the way management approached the issue -- tough as nails then caving in for no apparent reason. You can't ride two horses at once!
But still, as is all too frequently the case I am late for court because the TTC is unreliable. I don't really care who's to blame (and I take the subway pretty well daily, don't put my feet on the benches, I throw away my trash and I don't eat grossly smelly food on the train). My round trip fare is pretty close to the price of parking in Chinatown. So, despite a preference to use transit next time I'm driving.

A good enough reason not to vote Adam for Mayor.
Good Luck.
"Riding two horses" is perhaps an inappropriate phrase in light of The Star's story about Giambrone...
"Is it such a sin that a driver stops the bus briefly, goes into a donut shop to use the restroom and then gets a coffee on the way out?"
