What's interesting is how ordinary the call was. When I became a lawyer in Ontario back in the 80's there was a ceremony and speeches and a big fuss. Today, well, I got an e-mail with a certificate scanned as an attachment.
That makes sense I suppose.
When I was called in Ontario I was starting a new life and a new career. For Nunavut I am an old lawyer only doing a few jury cases out of town.
Still, I'd like a cake!!!

What was it James, your fascination with all things Polar bearish?
That's a benefit but it's more First Nations stuff for the legal end
I think you'd find that if a lawyer from Nunavut, or any other territory or province, were to be called in Ontario they would receive their licence in much the same way. I believe that the ceremony is only for new calls (i.e. those coming right out of law school).
