New poll -- Conservatives way down

Before we Liberals all start cheering notice this isn't support FOR us but rather distaste against the Conservatives. Still, if we keep rolling out policies like today's food policy we may turn dislike of them into like of us:

OTTAWA - The Harper Conservatives have sunk to their lowest level of support in a year, dipping below 30 per cent amid the furor over the Guergis-Jaffer scandal.

A new poll by The Canadian Press Harris-Decima puts the Tories at
29 per cent, down three points from early April and into a
statistical tie with the Liberals who are down two points at 27.

The survey suggests Canadians are looking more favourably at the
NDP as they become increasingly disenchanted with the two main
political parties. The New Democrats rose three points to 20 per cent, a level of support the party hasn't enjoyed since shortly after the last election in October 2008.

The NDP, which typically runs a distant third, now appears to be
"benefiting from not being the other guys,'' Harris-Decima chairman Allan Gregg said.

The internals are even more stark: See http://www.harrisdecima.com/sites/default/files/releases/2010/04/26/hd-2010-04-26-en640.pdf

Quebec: "BQ stands at 45%, followed by the Liberals at 21%, the NDP 12%, the Conservatives 10% and the Greens 10%."

Ontario: "Liberals are at 36%, the Conservatives 31%, the NDP 19% and the Greens 12%."

BC: "New Democrats are at 31%, followed by the Conservatives at
30%, the Liberals 21% and the Greens 18%."

MB/SK: "[Tories] lead with 39%, followed by 31% for the NDP,
16% for the Liberals, and 12% for the Greens."

AB: Tories lead by a mile, as usual.

Atlantic Canada: "[Liberals] stand at 39%, to 31% for the Conservatives, 24% for the NDP and 5% for the Greens."

Hard to believe that the opposition parties will let this seemingly delicious window pass them by.
