Stock "pump and dump" -- more allegations in Guergis

Pretty rough story -- but note the references to Guergis seem to be mainly as "Jaffer's wife". That sounds thin to me -- even if the offshore accounts were set up that does not mean she knew or had involvement. I've seen plenty of times where people hide money in the name of their spouse, especially where they don't share a name, and the spouse didn't know. Still, the allegations are slowly leaking out:

RCMP's Guergis probe: 'Drugs and stock fraud'

April 15, 2010
Kevin Donovan
Staff Reporter

An investigation into Toronto businessman Nazim Gillani's business affairs thrust a GTA private investigator into a world peppered with allegations of cocaine use, laundered money, a "pump and dump" stock fraud, busty hookers and political intrigue.
...
The central allegation Snowdy presented is that Gillani, an accused fraudster, claimed to Snowdy that three offshore companies in Belize – a tax haven – had been "reserved" to hold cash for Guergis and Jaffer. Snowdy said he also told the Tory lawyer that Gillani boasted that he had cellphone pictures of Jaffer and Guergis partying with high-class escorts when cocaine was being snorted.

This just goes from bad to worse to even worser. And some of it is private - like the partying with hookers. No one's busines but their own. The offshore acct.'s is another matter but personal/private stuff should be left out. Of course this will never happen as the media loves to feed the public's coarser side. Am so sick of all of this as there are so many other important things happening - like the Afghan detainee issue among many other issues.

Penlan... "No one's busines (sp.?) but their own."
The potential for blackmail here is obvious. See "comportment".

Anon,
Yes, I made a spelling error on "business". And it was an error. Is it a crime? ;)

"The potential for blackmail here is obvious. See "comportment"."

If these allegations are even TRUE. They may not be therefore blackmail is a non-issue. There just seems to be too many strange things out there & frankly Harper should say something to stop all these rumours. It's insane. And no, I am not a Harper/Con supporter just in case you wondered.

"This just goes from bad to worse to even worser." Not only spelling but proper grammar as well. It is not worser but more worse.
