Tough allegations from CTV...

Someone said someone might be subject to blackmail over drugs. No details are to who was blackmailing whom or for what or when.

Gosh. This is gripping stuff.

(In fairness I assume they know more but dare not say it for fear of libel).

Then why say it? You just leave everyone hanging, uselessly.

Found more than what you wrote, from CTV. No need to be so tantalizing James when this is out there for all to see:

"The mysterious third party who uncovered serious allegations that led Prime Minister Stephen Harper to toss MP Helena Guergis out of caucus is a private investigator, CTV News has learned.
Police sources say the licensed private eye contacted a Conservative Party lawyer in Toronto, and expressed concern about a potential threat of blackmail arising from allegations about the purchase and use of drugs."

I was too coy -- my point was that CTV is making noise when they have nothing really to say...

It's not that gripping.

Nobody expects any better behaviour from politicians. It's business as usual. What's unusual is that it was covered in the news media.
