"This past week, Public Safety Minister Vic Toews said the federal price tag for legislation that would end two-for-one credit for time served in pre-custody would be at least $2 billion over five years. That was up from his earlier estimate of $90 million over two years."

Now here's something to trigger an election over. Wow! I heard 2 radio hosts in Montreal discussing how ridiculous these new tough on crime bills are and one of them is usually a neo-con Harperite.

I sincerely hope all opposition parties vote against it. I can see NDP and Bloc voting them down. That leaves the Liberals. If there was a time we need Iggy to show some back bone, this is the perfect issue.
