Here's a lovely historical painting of downtown -- the date is uncertain -- any readers have an idea? My guess, by the telegraph lines and the horses, is around 1910.

Well its in and around the early 1900's for sure. Looks similar to pictures that I have around the same time frame.

Born there...Cottage Hospital.
Sub in a few newer buildings and the street looks pretty much the same.
That looks like a hand-coloured photograph - a lost art.
Who painted it? Anyone well known?
