The Canadian sanctions story is a non-story, since the extension of the sanctions does not actually have any impact.
Revealing that Pakistan's the intelligence agency, which receives billions of dollars in aid from Washington, has been secretly supporting the Taliban, is a huge story.
Instead of posturing and stoking the drums of war, a prudent government would be concerned about the very real possibility of suddenly finding itself at war with a nuclear-armed Pakistan.

Agreed on both. (My point was pretty well your's -- Canada/Iran really is a non-story but the Wikileaks is as big as the Pentagon Papers)
