Flaherty’s rant signals Conservatives keen on an election

I'd be glad of an election federally -- the Liberals would win -- and that's not just cheer leading. It might be a minority, but the Conservatives won't succeed now.

I thought they were trying to discourage an election; but I really, really hope we have one soon. I've pledged to go to Ottawa for the 1st time in my life, if the Liberals win a majority.

I'm not so sure. There is a rumour, although, from an albeit dubious source; Stephen Taylor that there might be some Liberal MPs who won't show up to vote on the long gun registry tomorrow night. If that is true, won't this be the end of Ignatieff's leadership? I mean, I don't see him recovering from this one.

Where's Bob Rae?
19 Lib MPs were a no show on Monday.
Not in Parliament, even tho all Lib MPs were ordered to show up....

Just like Flaherty was sent to flush out the first coalition,
he's been sent out again.
Maybe this one is a Rae/Jack coalition?

Vote on the gun registry could turn out to be a vote on leadership.
Going to be interesting....

Your statement that you think the Libs would win is contradictory to your last post entitled "What am I Missing?"

I don't think the Libs will win the next election.Your statement that they will win suggests to me that you are missing something.

So which is it?

You are puzzled at Ford's success but also blind to Ignatieff's failures.
