Flood relief for Newfoundland

Searching the web today I realised there doesn't seem to be any sites dedicated to collecting for relief for Newfoundland after the worst storm in their recent history (I was there after the storm and the damage is fierce).

Obviously donations can be made directly to Newfoundland charities but why, when sites for foreign tragedies are so common, is there nothing for Newfoundland?

Perhaps Canadians assume government works here and doesn't work "back home"? Regardless, there is real need in Newfoundland so give to a local group there and ... next time we have flooding etc (and there will be a next time) set up a site for donations!

James.....Newfoundland & Labrador have not ever been considered a part of Canada by the rest of the provinces only a place that takes and does not give. What a sad state of affairs when flooding in other parts of the world and other provinces in Canada are immediately tended. So many Canadians think Newfoundland doesn't matter. http://www.freenewfoundlandlabrador.blogspot.com/ This will provide further information for you James and it's a good read.

Moreover it helps in promoting the services
of various organizations. A lot of organizations do not recognize Facebook, so it
could be a enormous benefit to you if you construct a sizable fan-page and have thousands of followers.
This is the reason why most of organizations are now being into contact with social
networking solution providers.

Keep the sacrifices they've made in mind, and take the time to embrace the understanding of how much these people must love you to have traveled so far for your wedding. Wedding planning is no different. An increasing number of marrying couples (particularly those entering second or later marriages) will request that guests refrain from giving gifts.
