Brilliant man. We visited his home in Paris this past winter. Great writer. Inspiring... Minds like his inspired the great French thinkers of the first great democracy. Lessons can be learned by other democracies...

This quote could be applied to show a concise contrast between people who value families and those who value the armed power of the nation. LK

Yes, painfully true. So many states of emergency...the crisis report I heard was directly from the Chief, saying 'because of YOUNG PEOPLE, with no given purpose or hope, and prescription drug addiction there have been arsons (their only school burned down) and it's now become rampant destruction that affects everyone'...all other reports say only "due to crime"...and that is all the law, order, and weapon crowd need to hear to justify their belief system. Is it willful ignorance? Lack of empathy? BTW, did you catch Friday's episode of The Agenda? Examining the differences between people and leaders who've read and absorbed great literary fiction and those who've not...the major being a lack of empathy combined with strict idealogical (exclusive?) values among those who've not. LK.
