Impressions of the Ontario Liberal Party AGM

Parties get tired. The OLP isn't.

I was, candidly, a little concerned that exhaustion would have set in -- but there remains an interest and excitement -- the Party isn't tired.

Now AGMs tend to have a hothouse atmosphere -- true believers attend -- but the focussed policy discussion, in and out of session, showed a surprising strength of vision. There is a willingness, almost an eagerness, to get into the election.

There are glitches.

One of the buttons that links today's Conservatives with the Mike Harris Conservatives is confusing -- the point is well taken but the delivery lacking.

But there's a year to fix the buttons.

And a year and more to canvass!

Have any of you received a power bill recently, or filled your home heating oil tank ?
How about filling up your car ?
Living on fixed income in Ontario becomes more and more difficuly under this idealistic driven regime.
Please do NOT come canvasing at my door!

Where does the party stand on Caledonia?
Looks like they stand at the back of the room.
