Anti-Fantino group to hold protest

I don't know what effect it will have but Caledonia is a sleeper issue for this byelection and maybe the next Provincial election:

Former Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Julian Fantino's bid to win a seat in the House of Commons is attracting a protest Sunday.

A pair of Caledonia, Ont. residents who started an anti-Fantino group plan to protest outside his campaign office in Vaughan.

Gary McHale and Mark Vandermaas set up the group to try to stop Fantino from winning a seat for the Conservatives in a byelection set for Nov. 29

I protest M. Harris/J. Fantino for killing Dudley George. I protest Flaherty for not giving a damn about poor people. I despise Stephen Harper for his employment of these people and his employment of the lowest form of political tactics known to modern man. Now, why the ditch is the Harper goal and why it appeals to the smug minority ( I got mine, Jack) is quite apparent; what I cannot reconcile, nor will I, what has become impossible for me to square up - is the complete and utter failure of the Liberal's to provide an actual alternative. (Bob Rae, fer Gawd's sake, what happened to you?) Mr. Ignatieff's positions trouble me. How long before the Leader IS the Party? Try re-discovering the Left... Vive la Quebec. LK

Gilles Duceppe - a man I'd vote for.

I wish :) The 'Old Gaurd' isn't cutting it - with all due respect. Is there any deal, Prof. Morton, that is not a back-room deal?
