German-Canadian Congress complaints about plans for a permanent Holocaust exhibit at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights are weirdly consistent with Jenny Peto's radical Master's thesis. Both accept the Holocaust occurred but say it's old news and it's time to move on. But forgetting is, in a way, a denial. That which is not remembered is as if it never happened. Which is why we must never forget the Holocaust.

If you have a fight with the Germans then leave Jenny Peto's Master's thesis out of it.
Her point was that a formerly oppressed ethnic group has exploited its victim status to become part of the oppressors group.
Calling her idea "radical" and then misrepresenting it just continues the demon-ization of any party that dares challenge the orthodoxy she is exposing.
The attempts by one supposed "master race" to estinguish the lives of an entire religious/ethnic group to the tune of 6 Million (and we don't how many more) is the single most shameful and disgusting act in human history.
As humans - all of us - we should be exposed to the cold hard facts repeatedly. Nazi Germany is a good example of how right wing politics can get out of control; how scapegoating can go to the extreme; how extremists are a "deviant brand of humanity"; and how we're on a slippery slope once we begin removing human rights a little at a time to please an "angry" majority community.
As humans we should be working hard to stamp out extremism of any sort around the world... extremism born of hate and hate speech...
Its sad how soon (only 70 some odd years) we begin to forget the most important moments in history...
Way to go James in showing that Jews, such as yourself, will always see themselves as the victims.
The German-Canadian Congress has complained that by singling out the Holocaust it diminishes other atrocities such as what happened in Rwanda or to the Armenians.
So James, are you saying that the Holocaust is more "deserving"?
Well, there you go. If you think that other, under publicized mass human atrocities should receive greater prominence in a Canadian Human Rights museum, Mr. Morton will label you a Holocaust denier.
Good to see that open discourse in this country is in such a healthy state.
