Co-operatives build Canada

Co-operatives provide an opportunity for Canadians to work together to find fiscally responsible solutions to many of the social issues facing our nation today.

Co-operatives has a history that shows how workers working together have strength. "What force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?". Together co-operatives make their members strong.

With proper funding and support from the federal government co-operatives can bridge the gap between government controlled initiatives and grass roots ingenuity.  Co-operatives allow Canadians to buy homes, save for the future, educate their children all while investing locally and building their communities.

I, together with the Liberal Party of Canada, strongly support any effort to improve the quality of life of all Canadians and few organisational structures can match the problem solving skills of a well designed co-operative.  When the driving force of a movement comes from within a community the possibilities seem endless.
