Every thing secret degenerates, even the administration of justice; nothing is safe that does not show how it can bear discussion and publicity: Lord Acton

Here's the Auditor General's report as leaked by the Conservatives.

It is less damning than the earlier draft leaked by a bureaucrat but it still shows remarkable laxity in spending millions of dollars.

Basically, $50,000,000 was spent in Huntsville without controls. Imagine what that money could have done in downtown Oshawa, or Hamilton, or Sudbury?

A "lack of transparency" is an understatement -- there are no records to explain how the projects were picked -- all we know is the choices were political.

Just hammer that point home, James. "Imagine fifty million for Oshawa."

When do we find out why Ignatieff went to China to talk to Zhou Yongkang?
