The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. You can't blow an uncertain trumpet. Theodore M. Hesburgh

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservatives continue to gain momentum in the spring election campaign, according to the latest survey.
The Nanos poll, commissioned by CP24, CTV, and the Globe and Mail, shows that as of Friday, April 1, support for the Conservatives has increased slightly, putting them ahead of the Liberals with an 11-point lead with 41.3 per cent of the vote.
Quebec is where the Tories made most of their gains. At the beginning of the campaign, Conservative support in Quebec was at 19.6 per cent. Now, it stands at 26.7 per cent.
Yeah well if they want to hold onto their lead they had better hide Harper completely. He got power by keeping the spotlight on others and avoiding it himself. When the focus shifts to Steve he gets all clammy and sweaty and says really, really dumb things. You know, stuff like the challenge to a "one on one" debate that, in classic schoolyard bully fashion, he ran from, as fast and as far as he could, when Ignatieff accepted.
We'll see how this election plays out. At first it did seem like Harper would be pushing on an open door but the inertia is shifting beneath his feet.
